FitnessYourWeigh Shoe Drive: Each April our members donate their old, unwanted shoes for The Soles4Souls organization, who, in turn, cleans the shoes and distributes them to those in need, both locally and around the world. Over the past 6 years we’ve collected over 2,000 pairs of shoes!
Loaves and Fishes Food Pantry and The Groton Neighborhood Food Project: Members and staff fill these green bags over the course of two months and drop off at our location. Our member, Sally and her husband Michael then bring the bags to Loaves and Fishes. This wonderful endeavor keeps the pantry stocked year round! We sincerely thank Bobbie S and Sally H for inviting us to join this project.
PACH Outreach and Loaves and Fishes Food Pantry: Every June, Fitness Your Weigh staff and members participate in a Plank-A-Thon with 100% of the funds raised going to these local food pantries. Participants gather sponsors and then plank for their longest time possible. We encourage participation because no plank is too small and no donation too big! To date, we’ve raised over $12,000!
Community Health and Fitness Presentations: Fitness Your Weigh appreciates our local First Responders and Teachers. We’ve developed programs to help these important members of our community stay healthy and fit!
